I started this blog on Blogger about three years ago, then a couple of years ago, stopped posting on Blogger and started posting here. Today I decided it would be a good idea to transfer my old posts from Blogger to this WordPress blog. I have done it before, and the transfer wasn’t easy.
I first attempted the transfer by exporting posts and comments from Blogger – Settings>Export blog. There is no choice of format. Next I went to WordPress and selected Manage>Import, and selected to import from Blogger. No go. The authorization process would not complete and I received the error “Trouble Signing In.” That’s it. No help.
I then found http://blogger2wordpress.appspot.com/. I just pointed to my Blogger export file, and the site converted it into a WordPress export file. I then went to WordPress, again selected Manage>Import, but this time selected WordPress as the import type. It worked!
